Tanya Fridland helps adults who feel overwhelmed by ADHD, anxiety, burnout, depression, or the competing demands of work and family. She takes a strengths-based, individualized approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s needs, preferences, and goals. Her work integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and executive functioning skill-building to support both emotional insight and practical change.
Many of Tanya's clients are bright, capable professionals who have spent years wondering why everyday tasks seem so much harder for them than they seem for everyone else. She has a particular interest in helping adults with ADHD understand how executive functioning challenges affect work, relationships, parenting, and self-esteem.
Before becoming a therapist, Tanya practiced as BigLaw attorney in New York City. Her experience in a demanding profession gives her firsthand insight into the pressures of high-achieving environments. Her own experiences with ADHD, burnout, and becoming a parent deepened her understanding of how internal and external pressures can impact well-being. Together, they shaped her commitment to providing practical, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
Tanya strives to practice with cultural humility and recognizes that each person's identity and lived experiences shape how they move through the world. As a white, cisgender, heterosexual Jewish woman and immigrant, she also understands that her own experiences influence the therapeutic relationship and is committed to creating a space where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered to bring their whole selves into therapy.
Her therapeutic style emphasizes self-understanding, skill-building, and meaningful, sustainable change. She works collaboratively with clients to explore whether a diagnosis is helpful, ensuring that it serves as a tool for insight rather than a limitation.
Tanya’s goal is to help clients feel more grounded and capable so they can lead lives that align with their values.
