You care deeply about your work. You care deeply about your family. Yet it can feel like you're constantly falling short in both.
Maybe you're giving everything you have at work, only to come home feeling depleted and unavailable to the people you love. Or perhaps you're leaving work early for school pickups and wondering if you're no longer living up to your professional potential. You may feel like you're never fully present anywhere—thinking about work when you're with your children and thinking about home when you're at work.
Parenthood has a way of reshaping your identity. The routines, expectations, and strategies that once worked may no longer fit your life. If you have ADHD, anxiety, or perfectionistic tendencies, the mental load can feel even heavier. Managing schedules, remembering appointments, making countless decisions, and trying to meet everyone's needs can leave you feeling overwhelmed, guilty, and chronically behind.
Many of the parents I work with tell me the same thing: "I feel like I'm failing at work, and I'm failing at home."
You're not failing. You're trying to meet enormous demands in a world that often expects people to do the work of two full-time jobs—one at work and one at home.
Therapy provides space to step out of survival mode and think intentionally about how you want to spend your time, energy, and attention. Together, we'll explore the expectations you've placed on yourself, identify what's truly important to you, and develop practical strategies to help you navigate competing responsibilities with greater flexibility and self-compassion.
My goal isn't to help you achieve a mythical state of perfect balance. It's to help you build a life that reflects your values, where success isn't measured by doing everything perfectly but by feeling more present, more connected, and more like yourself.
